Black Heritage Month

February is Black Heritage Month.  It is a time to celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Black Leaders, who throughout      history have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse,      compassionate and the prosperous nation we know today.  It is also an opportunity for the majority of Canadians to learn about the experiences of Black  Canadians in our    society, and the vital role this community has played throughout our shared history.

On February 20th we welcome author Rukhsana Khan to our school. Rukhsana will be sharing her stories for building bridges as a society. Welcome to SJPII Rukhsana!!

On February 21st we welcome back Juno Award Gospel winner Sharon Riley. Sharon will be sharing the history of gospel music. Welcome back Sharon!!      All SJPII community members are welcome to attend Ms Riley’s presentation in Gym A at 12:30pm
