Dear St John Paul II Families,
On Fri Sept 29th SJPII will be recognizing National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a day of reflection. In addition, we will continue to participate in Orange Shirt Day, as a way to honour residential school survivors, those who did not survive, and their descendants. We invite students to wear orange, whether it is a shirt, pin, ribbon, bracelet, socks, etc., and engage in meaningful conversation as a way to come together and recognize past transgressions towards Indigenous people.
Fri Sept 29th is also our first Civvies Day. In honour for this day of reflection, we will not be collecting any donations towards our ShareLife Foundation. Donations will begin on our next Civvies Day, Fri Oct 27.
