Across YCDSB, students and staff have been coming together to celebrate Terry Fox Day with Walk, Run and Roll events at our schools. Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far, and best wishes to the schools getting ready to hold their events in the coming weeks!
Every year, these events give our school communities a chance to remember Terry and support a cause that continues to make a difference. Funds raised for the Terry Fox Foundation help support cancer research.
Terry showed us what courage, humility, determination and perseverance can accomplish. His Marathon of Hope began with one young Canadian and grew into a movement that continues to inspire people worldwide.
We are proud to see our school communities come together to carry Terry’s hope forward and support a cause that touches so many lives. Through the compassion and generosity of our students, staff, families and community members, we put our Catholic virtues into action and show what is possible when we work together for others.
