Dear St John Paul II Families,
On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, the Archdiocese of Toronto announced it would be accepting donations for humanitarian relief in response to the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine. Funds collected by the Archdiocese will be channeled to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) and the Office for Refugees, Archdiocese of Toronto (ORAT). As a Catholic faith community, the York Catholic District School Board will participate in helping to raise funds to support those impacted by the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine. On Friday March 11 all proceeds from our popcorn sales at St John Paul II will go directly to the Archdiocese of Toronto in support for the humanitarian relief. For those who do not wish to purchase popcorn, they may support the relief with a loonie/toonie donation.
